Ricky,

I really do not know why Howard Shore was absent from King Kong. Certainly the success he had during the last Peter Jackson powerhouse films of Lord of The Rings would have given him incentive to work with Jackson again. I can guess that he was already busy with A History of Violence and the schedules of the two movies conflicted. In my opinion, King Kong would have been a better score to write than A History of Violence.

Mimi,

Try listening to the music from Gladiator or Batman Begins. If you liked T2 and Aliens, you'll like both of those.

Leo,

I never claimed to be an expert and never used that term. I only said "I know what I am talking about" on this subject because I listen to so many scores.

I love the Last of the Mohicans score.

One that I'd add would be The Rock. It's a lot of fun.

odderie,

The Rock and The Godfather were both worthy of mention so I added them. I also forgot Con Air.

I wonder how many more I have forgotten?
